Happy First Birthday Ruben!

It is unbelievable that a year has already passed since Ruben made his debut into our family.  He has brought so much joy to us, far outweighing the inconveniences of sleepless nights :)

Can you guess our birthday theme?

We had my family over to spend the afternoon...even his uncles managed to find time in their schedules!
In spite of a nasty cold, Ruben enjoyed opening his presents, carefully removing the wrapping paper and taking time to inspect each new toy with appreciative 'comments' before moving on to the next package.

Last time I uploaded videos they didn't work but I'll give it another go....

Ruben liked the looks of his cake but didn't feel like tasting it...all the more for the rest of us!  I finally got him to try some a few days later :)
